VSHJ Yom Kippur Celebration on Saturday, October 4th

The Victoria Society for Humanistic Judaism, a Community of Cultural Jews, will celebrate Yom Kippur with a Secular/Humanis​tic ceremony led by Ceremonial Leader, Sharon Kobrinsky and our resident musicians, Gary Cohen and Amber Woods (Kouskous: Jewish Music to Feed the Soul!) on Saturday, October 4th at 6:30 pm at the Jewish Community Centre of Victoria (3636 Shelbourne St.).

Please join our celebration of Yom Kippur with traditional readings and music. This is always a very moving ceremony, and following, we will break the fast with a potluck supper. There is a suggested fee of $20.00 for non-members; reduced fee for low income people and students. Everyone is welcome. We would like to start on time and encourage everyone to arrive by 6:15 pm.

The Victoria Society for Humanistic Judaism, a Community of Cultural Jews, will celebrate Rosh Hashana in a secular/humanis​tic way with services led by Ceremonial Leader, Sharon Kobrinsky and our resident musicians, Gary Cohen and Amber Woods (Kouskous; Jewish Music to Feed the Soul!) on Thursday, September 25th at 5:00 pm at the Jewish Community Centre of Victoria, 3636 Shelbourne St.

Please join our celebration of Rosh Hashanah with traditional readings and music. A wonderful potluck supper will follow. There is a $20.00 fee for non-members; reduced fee for students and low income people. Everyone is welcome.

Our Secular/Humanis​tic Rosh Hashanah Celebration always includes a Memorial to honor those who have passed away. During this part of the ceremony, everyone is invited to publicly share the name of a family member or friend who remains special in their heart.
